It was Blacks Vs Wonderers.

The kickoff.

The Famous Scrum

Now, this match was pretty entertaining as when the Blacks scored, their oppnent scored as well. It was a pretty tight and close game. However the Blacks lost by 3 points.

Ohboy, New Zealand, Australia and SA in the same group?! THAT IS REALLY BAD. Its like placing Brazil, Italy and Spain in the same group.

Well, hopefully, the Black Ferns would be able to earn enough points to clinch the top spot.

Now, I’ve always wanted to post this up. Since I’m huge fan of the All Blacks, I really have to post this up.

Wow, I can feel the passion, yo! This Haka dance has been used for various adverts as well. For example,Adidas.

Hmm, Pretty catchy advert, don’t you think?

Well, coming Saturday, I’ll be out for a Rugby Match. And yes, My Cammy (I named in SpongeCam,hehehehe!) will be with me as well. I’ll be updating the details on this very blog. So, yes. Do come and support the local teams!

Blacks,oh Blacks.

Hello,I’m back!

So, on the 12th of December, I was @ YCK Stadium watching Blacks Vs Wanderers. It was scorching hot,I must say.

I was trying out my new DSLR (Canon 50D) and it was awesome!

After having a disappointing few weeks, the Blacks looked pretty optimistic. No weather, no injuries in their path. All they have to do is create a strong defence and score a try. The Wanderers,on the other hand, had a much experienced team on the pitch. But it was an interesting match.

The Blacks RFC coach planning.

The Scrummage.

The 1st half found the Blacks leading by 2 tries. The Blacks were much faster and quicker in thinking as once they got hold of the ball, they were racing towards the try line. It was obvious that the Wanderers had trouble keeping up with the Younger ones. However, The game ended up in a draw.

Why you may ask,the game ended up in a draw?

Well, the Blacks gave away too many penalties. And they got pretty relax after the first half. The second half was where the Wanderers took advantage of the Black’s complacency and score several penalties. Thus, the game ended up in a draw.

Well, I thought the Blacks should have won! Hmm, nevermind. I shall not give up hope on my Favourite local team, yeah!

Wallabies + Moustache= WHAT?

Last night, I was watching Wales Vs Australia.
And I realised something really weird. All Australian players had moustache!

They grew the moustache is support of raising awareness about prostate cancer in men for “Movember”,a charity event.

To learn more about Movember: visit http://www.movember.com/

It was rather weird because all the players looked like they were wearing fake stick-on moustaches. But any how, it’s for a good cause. So,its all good!

Scrum-tacular Weekend!

If you’re a Rugby Junkie, then this weekend must have been a Srum-tacular one!
Why?

It’s all thanks to the back-to-back Rugby action aired on TV.!

Firstly, Ireland Vs Fiji. (41 – 6)
This game was played in Dublin. And trust me when I say, the weather was bad. The rain and mist did no good for Fiji, who was obviously the underdogs in this game. Within 9 mintues into the game, Ireland were leading due to a penalty. The first try of the match was scored 9 mintues later by Ireland. The good start to the game definately boosted the Irish’s confidence. The home crowd was a plus point to the Home team.I thought the game was rather boring as it was pretty obvious who was going to win.

Next, England Vs New Zealand. (6 – 19)
THE MATCH I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR. After losing Australia, it was obvious that this match was a must-win. As usual, the Haka was an awesome sight. England started out strong, gaining a penalty. However, ladyluck was obviously on the All Black’s side. Daniel Carter gained the penalty points without any sweat. The All Blacks were definately pleased with their performance. I think that England should think over their team plan, if they had one.

On other interesting news,

THE RUGBY WORLD CUP 2011 HAS BEEN UNVEILED!
As you might have known, the upcoming World Cup will be held in New Zealand.!( Can you feel the Maori Spirit?!). So, this is the design!:

Blacks Vs SRC

Yesterday, I was at Dempsey Hill to catch a local Rugby Match.
Blacks Vs SRC.

*Note to everyone: Please wear slippers if you’re going to watch Rugby @ Dempsey. The muddy field is the undoubtedly the minus point.

The match was Blacks (Seniors)Vs SRC (Seniors).

Blacks: Black & Gold
SRC: White & Red

A fully formed Ruck.

There was definately much tension felt in the air cause of the both team’s intense rivalry. Even though the Blacks were at a losing end, they put on a great fight, despite the muddy pitch.

IMG_7530
There were several injuries during the match.2 Blacks players had to be replaced due to severe injures before half time. One fractured his leg while the other fractured his arm. Both of the players had to be sent to hospital immediately. Thankfully, an ambulance was called for a standby.

IMG_7533

I felt that this game was a give away game for the Blacks because they could have easily won the match if the pitch was in perfect condition. But, I know its not called “Good Sportsmanship” to blame it on the pitch. The sudden substitution of 2 new players found the Blacks in a little miscommunication. Blacks found themselves at the losing end.

IMG_7548

Hopefully, The Blacks will be able to bounce back from the defeat. And I pray that the injured players will be fully recovered for the next game.
